Korean food has always been a favorite of ours, and Dallas has a lot to offer when it comes to Korean food. If you are familiar with Royal lane and I-35 in Dallas then you know exactly what we are talking about. Dallas’ “Korea Town” is filled with many little Korean restaurants and karaoke bars that cater to DFW’s Korean community.

For our first Eat This! post we chose a late night Korean spot in Dallas, Dal Dong Nae. This place is open until 4am for those who like to get their munchies on late at night! On this encounter we tore up everything from the little Korean appetizers (banchan) to the beef short ribs (galbi).

So if your ever in the mood for some Korean food, be sure to hit this spot up, place is open till 4am!

This past Saturday, Shogun and Fur Face Boy took part in the Real Street Jam 2.0 event in Dallas. It featured skateboarding, BMX, live music, graffiti and a nice assortment of local streetwear brands.

When we decided to make a shirt commemorating the All-Star game in Dallas, only one player came to mind… Dirk Nowitzki. Let’s check out his credentials.

- 9 time All-Star
- 9 time All-NBA Team
- 2007 MVP
- Only 1 of 5 players in NBA history to average + 25ppg and + 10rpg in the NBA playoffs
- Dallas Mavericks’ all-time leader in points, rebounds, field goals, field goal attempts, 3-pointers, 3-point attempts, free throws, and free-throw attempts.

Yeah, that’s a pretty long list. It’s amazing that he achieved all this despite everything working against him. He was drafted out of high school from Germany. The Mavericks were widely criticized for drafting Nowitzki and passing on Paul Pierce. He was labeled as the next person in a line of white guys with no skill such as Eric Montross, Cherokee Parks and Shawn Bradley. For years his nick name was Irk – because he had no D.

Pretty soon though, the Mavericks developed into a winning team. With Michael Finley and Steve Nash, they would go on to be a playoff contender year in and year out. After the loss of the aforementioned players, Dirk Nowitzki led Dallas to it’s only NBA Finals appearance in 2006.

We all know the Metroplex known as DFW has been privileged to be the city host of the NBA All-Star Weekend this year. With the NBA All-Star events happening all around Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington, what better way and time is there to promote another BIG sneaker event?

The Dead Stock and Heat Seekers crew are good friends of ours at SHOGUN. Many of you may be familiar with the Dead Stock crew. They are the same group of guys that have presented KIXPO for the last several years, an annual sneaker and streetwear convention in Dallas, Texas. Alongside with the Heat Seekers crew, they are prepared to present the All-Star Sneakend!

The All-Star Sneakend is going to be operated much like KIXPO with many folks displaying their collections of exclusive, hard-to-get sneakers, otherwise known as HEAT!
