Little FFB

If you’ve kept up to date with Fur Face Boy’s blog, you’ve read a little back story into the design I made for his Series 3 release.
It’s based on Little Mac from Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out. For those that remember the game, you’ll notice that his character sprite was small and it didn’t have the weight I wanted for the graphic on the front.

So I went with the sprite of Mike Tyson himself, put him on a grid, and gave him the characteristics of Little Mac. Some muscles were taken away (sorry FFB), while a tank top, boots, and a lot of hair was added. After some revisions and feedback from friends, Little FFB was born.

Look for this Shogun Exclusive colorway to be released this Saturday, May 8, in store as well as online the following day.
The rest of Fur Face Boy Series 3 will be available soon. Details to follow.
Also keep an eye out for a Shogun tee designed by the FFB himself in June, along with the rest of our summer line!

On a side note – It’s been less than a year since Ha has started this brand. And we have watched it grow and grow! We really believe in this guy, not only because he is a good friend but because he has the passion to succeed. I have read many inspirational stories about successful brands and people in our world and always looked to them in awe…little did we know that we have such an inspirational person right under our nose and he is FAMILY at that! We are very proud of you, Ha, keep up the good work!

FFB x Hope x Shogun

We all have read and heard about Fur Face Boy’s latest blog post. I remember reading this story last year and I also felt really bad for the victim and her family. My first thoughts were ” how could someone do this to another human being” I too was angered and felt really upset. When I read FFB’s post this morning I immediately emailed Ha and the rest of the Shogun guys, we all said that it would be good for us to join together and help raise money for this girl and her family. We decided collectively as a group, that 50% of FFB sales at Shogun this month will be donated to the girl and her family to help with the expensive medical expenses that they have inherited. We will also match dollar for dollar the money that we raise for this cause.
So if your in the shop and you see a FFB shirt that you like go ahead and get it…the profit made for the shirt is going to a good cause…I know I will be purchasing a couple shirts myself!

FUR FACE BOY Series 2

At SHOGUN, we are big time fans and good friends with our homie, FUR FACE BOY. Let me get this started by saying it is a blessing to our society to have somebody as creative as him in our generation. Like what Jay-Z said of Lupe Fiasco, he is definitely a “breath of fresh air.”
If you have kept up with the FUR FACE BOY, then you probably already know that he is in the midst of releasing his sophomore series of t-shirts, and at SHOGUN, we have the pleasure of being the host of the Series 2 Release Event that we and FUR FACE BOY have put together. Aside from that, FUR FACE BOY has provided us with a sneak peak of what to expect from this series so that by the time you see it in real life, your head might still be square with your shoulders.
What can you expect from Series 2? As you know, FUR FACE BOY is heavily inspired by yesterdays’, todays’ and tomorrows’ definition of pop culture. Just like Series 1, the designs are VERY attentive to detail. The quality is matched by few, and I quote the FUR FACE BOY himself, “with each shirt… I carefully inspect them from top to bottom to ensure that every shirt is absolute perfection.” I have been to the FUR FACE BOY factory myself, and I can assure you, he stays true to his word.
In this series, you can expect inspiration from the late ‘King of Pop’, a ‘True Blue’ colorway of one of his all-time favorite shoes, a dedication to a man’s best friend that inspired FUR FACE BOY from its very beginning, as well as revamped colorways of the Classic Logo and Type Face designs. Why don’t I just stop here and let you take a look for yourself. Follow meeeeeeeeee here.
