The homies from Unkommon Kolor dropped off their 4th series of shirts. The Navajo/Native American inspired collection goes HARD! All items below are now in shop.

This is not your normal show. We are gathering acts of all variety in hopes of sparking something special in the DFW.

Come out, show love and support for your talented local artists! There will be a wide variety of performances ranging from acoustic, electronic, punk, dance, and hip-hop.

Local acts include: Bernadette, Hedgehog & Frog, Legsweeper, Duette, Peter P, Barkada, Ty City, and DJ Pete Mash.

We will be there along with the homies from Unkommon Kolor slanging tees and giving out freebies during the show.

AND after everything is said and done…it’s just gonna be a straight party until 2am comes around. So come for the show and stay for the parrttyyy.

As the Christmas Season rolls around we all are thankful for our loved ones and look forward to the gifts that come along with the season. Sometimes we forget those who aren’t as fortunate but are no less important this holiday season. This weekend (12/4/2010) we team up with the UNKOMMON KOLOR crew to host a TOYS FOR TOTS TOY DRIVE at the shop. We want to emphasize that this event is to give back to those that are less fortunate and highly encourage everyone to bring a gift to give(**hint hint NO FREELOADERS**). Below are a few details of the event from Unkommon Kolor.

“Helping the less fortunate should be motivation enough to bring you out, but just in case you need a little something extra, everyone who comes out with a toy who’s value is under $10 will receive 20% off Selected items In-Store (including UNKO gear).”

To make the pot a little sweeter, everyone who brings a toy who’s value is $10 or more, will not only get the 20% off Selected items In-Store, they will also have their name placed into a raffle to win a CUSTOM PAINTED XBOX 360.  (Painted by Unkommon Kolor of course) The more toys you bring the more chances you have to win!”

What better way to kick off the holiday season ,other than a great event for a great cause with your two favorite groups?…We thought so! Look forward to seeing all of you there!

Great show coming at you this Sunday the 24th. Local/Shop Favorite Sore Losers will be teaming up with The Nice Guys from Houston along with a slew of local acts including: Dj: Big J of Clever Monkeys, Killa MC, A.N.T, ADD+, and HelloeARTh Tickets will be $10 all night. Come out and support the DFW!!!

Unkommon Kolor? If you aren’t aware of them by now, remember the name, because they are ready to make an impact with their clothing line. At SHOGUN, we are quite selective about the products we carry, and we could not be more proud to be the very first store to carry their designs.

To mark the occasion, we will be co-hosting an intimate evening with friends. The event is set for Saturday, May 22. Things will start popping after store hours at 7PM and coast off into the night. Unkommon Kolor will be in the house meeting and greeting, as well as presenting their solid Spring line. Like our past events, we will be catering food and drinks, and DJ Niro will be on set providing the live music. vitaminwater will also be out here in full force quenching your thirst during the tender night.

What would an event be without a special-limited-super-dope-collab shirt to remember it with? Be on the lookout sometime this week for the unveiling on both our blog, and the UNKO blog!
